DAO SagaStandards™ Working Group (DAOSWG)
The DAO SagaStandards™ Working Group researches and develops Decentralized Autonomous Organization models.

The Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) Working Group within SagaStandards™ is dedicated to researching, developing, and evaluating models, software engineering methods and dedicated tool support for DAOs.
DAOs represent a paradigm shift in governance and resource management, offering decentralized and transparent decision-making protocols.
Led by Sowelu Avanzo.
DAOs are emerging as a key-solution allowing communities to coordinate governance processes without relying on traditional intermediaries. Despite their potential, the development and adoption of DAOs face significant challenges in both industry and academia. The lack of unified models and standards for DAO design, implementation and verification has led to fragmented approaches that often fail to address governance complexities, token economy sustainability, and the integration of scalable and secure mechanisms for decision-making.
Currently, DAO implementations vary widely, often requiring custom-built solutions that introduce inefficiencies and security vulnerabilities. Standardization efforts are crucial to ensuring interoperability, security, and usability for DAO-based governance models.
The DAO Working Group aims to develop standards proposals pertaining to governance and community models designed around the Stateful Internet, implemented in the new Meta-class Object State Database Model (MC-OSDM). These standards will provide a foundation for scalable, secure, and adaptable DAO systems that align with the evolving needs of decentralized ecosystems.
Utilizing the developed methods and models, the working group is committed to develop a DAO to manage the PraSaga™ foundation treasury, aiming to align stakeholder incentives and promote ecosystem growth over time. Findings will inform standards proposals submitted to IEEE and ISO, facilitating widespread DAO adoption.

Sowelu Avanzo
PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Torino. His research focuses on developing software engineering methods and specification languages for Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and their application in real-world case studies. He holds an MSc in Finance and has professional experience in business development and financial derivative brokerage. He is a member of the NetFi team at the FRIBIS research institute at the University of Freiburg, where he studies the network dynamics of payment systems based on blockchain community currencies enabled by blockchain.
PraSaga™ is building the next generation of Layer One blockchain. PraSaga™’s technology solution solves many of the limitations that plague first-generation Layer One blockchains. The SagaChain™ successfully addresses lowering transaction fees, extensibility for supply chains, and significantly lowers development costs. We’ve designed the next evolution of blockchain architecture. A Layer One blockchain that achieves the promise that all blockchains have aspired to. One that provides the highest level of resistance against attacks, rewards its ecosystem of contributors and most importantly, scales in throughput as more resources are added to the network, providing the maximum possible increases in speed.
Stay tuned for updates as we embark on this exciting journey together!
